35 years in the locksmith business have taught me that when it comes to home security, it's usually the small stuff that counts most. By this I mean deadbolt locks on any and all doors that need to be locked. Locking door handles lock out home owners not burglars.
- Locks that do not work perfectly will fail.
- Locks that work smoothly will work forever.
- Locks should work perfectly year round in any weather condition.
- All locks should work with one key.
I recommend at least one digital lock to prevent lockouts and to give the homeowner the ability to allow or restrict access as needed. I've just described the locks at my house, and I would not recommend anything less for my customers.
